Nichelini Family Winery
The Oldest Family-Owned Winery in Napa Valley
Our exquisite 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made from 32-year-old vines.
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine reflects the concentrated depth of flavor and smoothness that 32-year-old vines can produce. From this small, select vineyard, these premium grapes were hand-harvested and cellared in French oak. The wine shows an exquisite color of deep burgundy red, flavors of juicy tart cherry and blackberry, and a medium body with a clean finish and soft resonating tannins.
A Gold Medal winner in the 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition!
Our vineyard has a unique varietal expression of Cabernet Sauvignon where it makes a very elegant wine. 2012 was an exceptional growing season. The even weather allowed me to wait until the flavors arrived at just the right point for picking. Since the fruit manifests delicate type of aromas and flavors, I try to use fermentation techniques and barrel programs that help these types of flavor develop more deeply and pronounced. I continued developing this beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon fruit throughout its fermentation and complimenting it with elegant French oak.
