  • Overview

This wine is a blend of two of Bordeaux’s white varietals: Muscadelle 70%, and Sémillon 30%. We planted the Muscadelle in 1946 and the Sémillon 2007. This mixture of young and old opened the opportunity to experiment and to do something interesting with two grapes that uniquely support each other. Estate grown, the grapes were hand-harvested and individually fermented in stainless steel. After blending, the wine was cellared in stainless for two months with no oak contact and then bottled. The result is a wonderful light-bodied white Bordeaux-blend style with refreshing floral and citrus notes. With only 8 acres of Muscadelle and 120 acres of Sémillon grown in Napa Valley, this wine is a rare treat indeed!
