18 Petite Sirah

My goal was to make a Petite Sirah that highlights the power of the varietal. The block that the grapes come from is an older section of the vineyard that "struggles"; the vines are then intentionally further thinned to ensure a powerful, balanced, uniform and distinctive crop. This wine is a Nichelini classic for a reason!

Winemaker: Aimée Sunseri, 5^th generation

A deeply-hued, inky wine with a rich but dry palate of blackberry pie, woodsmoke, cherry and vanilla, with a rounding hint of buttery pastry.  Full-bodied, with structured tannins and a lingering finish. Ages exceptionally well, and is a perfect pairing for heartier dishes such as lamb, beef or game.
